Nakamura, Terao, Yamaguchi, Mikio Suzuki, and Denda Thought for the Day by TM Denda One day, when I watched a TV program, a newscaster was speaking that four seasons are expected to change in Japan under a global warming scenario. For example, we will not be able to see cherry blossoms at the time of entrance ceremony but only see cherry trees with green leaves. We wonÕt take the fun out of beautiful spring either because the rainy season starts earlier than before. The duration of summer may be extended and the number of hot days will increase during the summer in the future. This spring, I felt as if this scenario became a reality. There have been many rainy or cloudy days with high humidity in May, which seemed to be the advent of the rainy season. I miss the spring that has already passed without showing off its gorgeous appearance for enough period of time. It must be the privilege for Japanese people to be sensible of and relish the different seasons. I wish global warming would not deprive us of such pleasure, and for that reason I think we must do what we can do now.
